A League - Round 10 (24th November 2025)
A League Half-Season Report: Moore Dixon Jaguars Crowned Champions
The first half of the A League season has wrapped up — and what a finale it was. After weeks of tight match-ups, dramatic comebacks, and standout individual performances, Moore Dixon Jaguars officially clinch the Half-Season A League Title, edging out their rivals with a mixture of consistency, depth, and clutch performances across their squad.
Jaguars Stay Ice-Cool Under Pressure
Their decisive fixture against Team Aon sealed the deal.
Joshua Green set the tone with a sharp 3–0 win over Jason Crease.
Shaun Wyllie and Toby Woolard added crucial points with composed, disciplined squash.
The match of the night was the five-game thriller between Phil Butler and Lance Wyllie, with Lance holding his nerve in an 11–13 deciding game — the final push the Jaguars needed to secure the half-season crown.
The Jaguars didn’t dominate through blowouts — they did it through reliability on every string, collecting wins whenever it mattered.
Match of the Week: Ben Peach Pulls Off a Miracle
Nothing stole headlines more than Ben Peach’s unbelievable turnaround against Ben Leith in the Pat’s Pals vs. Cannell Print clash.
Down 2–1 in games, then trailing in the fourth, Peach somehow forced a fifth.
But the real magic came at the end:
Peach saved three match balls
— each one under intense pressure against one of the league’s most athletic, attacking players.
From there, Peach turned the momentum on its head, taking the fifth 12–10 in a nail-biting finish.
This wasn’t just a win — it was a statement, and arguably the most dramatic single match of the season so far.
Argosy’s Forfeit and Crazy Billions' Ruthless Efficiency
Argosy, hampered by player availability, were unable to field players for strings 1–3, handing Crazy Billions straight 3–0 victories.
Even at the one contested string, David Freer was clinical, defeating David O’Neill in three controlled games.
Final A League Standings
1️⃣ Moore Dixon Jaguars — 132pts (Champions)
Rock-solid across all four strings and clutch in every tight match. Their five-game wins this week sealed the half-season title.
2️⃣ Cannell Print — 124pts
Right behind them. Ben Peach’s escape against Ben Leith (saving three match balls) kept them in the hunt. They’re absolutely still contenders for the full-season crown.
3️⃣ Crazy Billions — 118pts
High-quality squad. Argosy’s forfeits gave them maximum points this round, tightening the race at the top.
4️⃣ Pat’s Pals — 85pts
So much young talent. Lost two brutal 5-gamers this week, otherwise they’d be a lot closer.
5️⃣ Team Aon — 62pts
Competitive in patches but lacking the bench depth of the top half. Still capable of upsets.
6️⃣ Argosy — 40pts
Availability has hurt them. When full strength, they can take games — but forfeits are too costly.
