A League Squash – 13th October 2025

The A League continued this week with another round of exciting matches and several stand-out performances across the courts.

Crazy Billions vs. Argosy

Argosy claimed a superb 3–1 team victory over Crazy Billions thanks to a series of clinical performances. David Norman opened with an impressive straight-games win over the in-form Ashley Sandyford-Sykes. Although Hamish Thornton responded for Crazy Billions, beating Malcolm Levy 3–0 in a commanding display, the home side’s hopes faded as both Mark Webster-Smith and Chris Walton sealed strong wins for Argosy — each taking their matches 3–0 with crisp, attacking squash.

Cannell Print vs. Pat’s Pals

This fixture produced the week’s most dramatic action. Cannell Print and Pat’s Pals traded blows throughout a gripping 2–2 draw, with several matches going the distance. Thomas Whiteway looked composed as ever in his straight-games win over Patrick Fitzpatrick, but the tie of the night came from Liam Townsend and Harvey Douglas, who fought through five tense games before Townsend edged it 12–10 in the fifth. Pat’s Pals showed real spirit, with Ben Leith grinding out a 3–0 win full of long rallies and Oliver Wait holding his nerve to defeat Damien Loughrey in another five-set thriller.

Moore Dixon Jaguars vs. Team Aon

The Jaguars continued their strong form with a 3–1 win over Team Aon. Joshua Green and Shaun Wyllie led from the front, both taking straight-games victories in clinical fashion. Team Aon’s Phil Butler responded with a composed win over Lance Wyllie, but Fraser Dorling sealed the overall result for the Jaguars, defeating Harrison Callow in four entertaining games.

The latest results leave the top of the A League finely balanced. Crazy Billions remain in the title race, but Cannell Print and Moore Dixon Jaguars are both closing in fast, setting up an intriguing run-in for the weeks ahead.
