B League Squash – 9th October 2025

This week’s B League action delivered some commanding performances and a few thrilling five-set encounters that had spectators on the edge of their seats.

Mavericks vs Sharks – 5–0

Mavericks were unstoppable, sweeping Sharks with decisive victories across all five rubbers.

Liam Townsend set the tone with a straight-game 3–0 win over Alan Macnair.

Richard Cretney overcame David Freer 3–1 in a closely contested second match, dropping just one set.

Robert Colquitt and Magnus Lamprecht kept the momentum rolling, Lamprecht’s 3–1 victory over Mark Stratford featuring some of the most exciting rallies of the evening.

Harrison Callow completed the clean sweep with a confident 3–0 triumph over Greg Ansara, confirming Mavericks’ dominance this week.

Squash Squad vs Racketeers Pioneers – 1–4

Racketeers Pioneers showcased their experience, edging Squash Squad with a 4–1 win.

The opening rubber was the highlight, with George Rumney narrowly losing in five gripping games to Fraser Dorling. The match swung back and forth, with long, hard-fought rallies keeping the crowd enthralled.

Isaac Quayle and David Johnson produced straight-set wins, ensuring the team secured the overall victory.

Aaron Rumney also battled hard, taking one set from Mark Harrop, but Pioneers ultimately closed out the tie with composure and consistency.
