Mavericks vs Outcasts
This clash had everything: five tough battles, countless momentum swings, and four of the matches going to a deciding game. Lance Wyllie edged a thriller over Liam Townsend, saving match points before clinching 17–15 in the fifth. Phil Butler then doubled the Outcasts’ lead with a composed 3–1 win over Richard Cretney. Robert Colquitt nearly turned the tide for the Mavericks, but Mark Henson fought back in yet another epic, sneaking it 17–15 in the decider. Robert Smith finally put points on the board for the Mavericks with a gutsy 18–16 fifth-game triumph against Peter Ginty. Magnus Lamprecht rounded things off with a comeback win over Jonathan Gower-Jackson, giving the Mavericks some pride, but the Outcasts’ early advantage held firm for a 3–2 team win.
Racketeers Pioneers vs Sharks
The Pioneers were in commanding form, securing victory with three straight wins. Dafydd Lewis opened with a confident 3–1 win over Mike Hayler, before Fraser Dorling survived a nervy four-setter against David O’Neill to double the lead. Emma Leith was ruthless, sweeping past Mark Stratford 3–0 to guarantee the team victory. The Sharks fought back through Max Birchall, who edged past Marc Taggart in four close games, but Stephen Pitts sealed things with another 3–1 for the Pioneers. A 4–1 team win leaves the Racketeers Pioneers in a strong position at the top of the early standings.
C League Squash – 9th September 2025
Crazy Jacks Barbershop vs Dragons
This was a real back-and-forth contest. Stuart Highy gave the Dragons the early lead with a solid 3–1 win over Aleyn Taggart, but Jonathan Gower-Jackson and Lee Alexander turned things around for the Barbers with back-to-back straight-game victories. Andy McLarney restored parity for the Dragons, seeing off Mark Goodall 3–0, before Tek Min Ewe stepped up to deliver the decisive blow, sealing a comfortable 3–0 win over Ben Arthur. Crazy Jacks Barbershop took the tie 3–2 overall, thanks to their sharper finishing in the key matches.
